Cooper Webb has not been talked about much in the hours following the second round of 2020 Monster Energy Supercross, St. Louis, simply because he did not exactly attract attention out on track. Webb started fifteenth and finished twelfth in what was a quiet ride. What was going on? There were multiple reports throughout the day that he was still sick – those seemed to differ in severity depending on who was being spoken to though. The only concrete information is the following quote from Webb, which was released by Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.

"Tonight definitely didn't end up how I had wanted it to. I struggled all day to get comfortable and unfortunately, I was just not able to make it happen tonight. We are going to regroup, work on getting healthy and hopefully get back up on the podium next weekend in Anaheim."

Webb does not actually reference his sickness there but does mention that he needs to get healthy. Additionally, KTM stated that he finished twelfth "despite being under the weather." Make of that what you will. The greatest question mark here is that he was sick last week and yet still finished third. Before rushing to push a Webb-shaped panic button, consider that he was eighth in the standings with thirty-one points after two rounds last year. This year he is seventh with thirty-two points.
